Toyota Aygo, Citroën C1, Peugeot 107: what sells best?

Citroen Peugeot ToyotaUntaxed cars are hot: 30% of newly sold cars are currently in this category. I can only imagine that you would rather not purchase diesel engine: the changing rules cost you a few years back road just to bake and sell at a good price you can also forget. So today we bow our cake drums with a gasoline engine, the Aygo,  C1 and 107.  Muchness?

Beneath the three cars are identical: they use a 1.0 liter three-cylinder with 68 horsepower and a whopping 93 Nm. Luckily, they weigh to around 800 kg, so there are not many masses to move. With a budget of 10,500 Euros, for example, you can choose from the C1 Ambiance (10,390 euros), the XS 107 (10 190 euros) or the Aygo Comfort Navigator (10180). These cars can be found HERE neatly in a row side by side.

Clearly  the similarities outweigh the differences. You could say that it really should not buy into  what you take your car, but leave the sales to see something else: in the first half of 2010, Toyota sold 9,109 Aygo and Peugeot 107’s 8667. Citroen C1 dangled down to 5835’s. Looking at the first half of 2011 than 7586 copies put Toyota, Peugeot shot up to 12,621 units, while Citroen’s C1 6804 aanklampt at Toyota.

Causes? Toyota would be able to explain shrinkage with a shortage of cars after the tsunami.  However, why just wham bam Peugeot sells twice as many cans of sardines over stable mate Citroën? They belong to the same group, please note. You call it!
