Cosworth new partner of Singer

Singer 911The U.S. company Singer Vehicle Design will partner with Cosworth to power its next 911 modernized.

Remember, it was in 2009, Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach. At the time, Singer Vehicle Design presented the concept 911: reinterpreted and modernized version of the famous Porsche 911. The opinions were very divided, but it did not prevent the American company to continue its project.

Based on the structure of the first 911, the model has bi-xenon lights adapted, Eibach springs, Moton shocks and Brembo braking system inherited from the 930. With, inside, modern technology (hi-fi system with iPod connectivity, Bluetooth, air conditioning, Garmin GPS).

To optimize the result, Singer has teamed with Cosworth for the engines. Guaranteed quality. Three engines should therefore equipped the 911: a 3.6 liter 300 horsepower for the 911 Touring Singer, a 3.9 liter 380 horsepower for the Singer 911 Sport, and a 4.0-liter 425 horsepower for the Singer Cup 911.

Three copies have so far been produced in the United States. Prices start at around 135,000 euros for the Touring version and fly to over 213 000 euros for the Cup version.
