Design Competition: Ferrari holds its winners

FerrariFerrari has unveiled the results of its “World Design Contest. ” The winners are students of the University of Hong-ik in Seoul (South Korea).

Earlier this year, Ferrari was launched with partner technical Autodesk large international design competition called “Ferrari World Design Contest.” The objective was clear: imagine the Ferrari of the future. In other words, according to the brand,   “an extreme supercar architecture and functional aspects: hyper-light and ultra-fast, hyper-hyper-technological and ecological.”

Last month, the Italian manufacturer has selected seven finalists of the 200 projects submitted, 50 were from the best design schools in the world. For this second part of the competition, the finalists had to present three 3D models and 1:4 scale by using the tools offered by Autodesk. The results are in on the desk officers of Ferrari, and they have so decided.

The victory finally came to three young students from the University of Hong-ik in Seoul (South Korea): Kim Cheong Ju Ahn and Dr. Lee Sahngseok. With their concept of “eternity,” they beat the Italians in FDI (second) and the English of the London Royal College of Art (third). The award ceremony took place yesterday in Maranello. In addition to a nice check, the three winners will have the most opportunity to participate in an internship at Ferrari.FerrariFerrari
