Flying Lizard Le Mans history greet Porsche

Involved in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2011, Porsche GT3 RSR # 80 and 81 will present a “shell” of Flying Lizard reptile dreamed up by paying tribute to the history of Porsche at Le Mans.

They will not go unnoticed the next weekend at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They, are the two engaged in the traditional Porsche Le Mans race: the GT3 RSR # 80 and 81 of the Flying Lizard team. The team based in Sonoma (California) recently unveiled the special decoration of his cars for his first participation in the event. And it does not lack spice, as shown in the pictures.

Signed Troy Lee, decoration features a reptile interlaced in colored curves. The design is identical on both cars, but it is executed in two complementary colors: orange for candy Metallic No. 80 Metallic blue and candy for the No. 81. More importantly, the artist wanted his work to honor the 28 winners of the race drivers at the wheel of a Porsche.

In a statement, the manufacturer said in Zuffenhausen appreciate the result and the tribute. It will be even more successful if both performance cars of choice on the Le Mans next weekend.

Meanwhile, the decoration of the Flying Lizard Porsche will be officially unveiled during the scrutineering on Monday.
