Future Camaro ZL1: the new

2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1Before marketing the model in 2012, several reports have filtered about the Camaro ZL1.

The last weekend, the ZL1 visited traditional meeting place for Camaro in Oshawa (Canada), the construction site of the fifth generation of the model. It was the way to find out more about the next version of the ZL1. Thanks in part to the sharp tongue of Al Oppenheiser, the chief engineer.

The latter has in fact suggested that the ZL1 could see his power to exceed 550 horsepower with the V8 Supercharged 6.2-liter LSA. He also announced the ability to choose an optional six-speed automatic transmission along with box and manual six-speed dual-clutch. Other new features: a high performance traction control system, a magnetically controlled suspension and a vent hood in carbon fiber.

As a reminder, unveiled this winter in Chicago, the Camaro ZL1 should see production begin in the first quarter of 2012.2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
