Three weeks before the presentation of the model at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Bentley unveiled a preview version of the new Continental GTC.

Like Porsche with its 911 and Ferrari 458 Spider with yesterday, Bentley turned up the heat a notch or three weeks the opening of the Frankfurt Motor Show. Today, the manufacturer has indeed unveiled its new Continental GTC. Five years after the release of the model, this version is actually a big facelift, like that of the Continental GT made ​​the end of 2010 at the Paris.

And as for the latter, the changes are not revolutionary. The lines are always fluid and aggressive. At the front, there is a new grid more impressive. This version also opts for optical LED and 20-inch wheels (21 inch optional). Finally, the hood of the cab is identical to the previous one, that is to say, prior to shrink the trunk.

Inside, it also follows the evolution initiated by the Continental GT. It is always the highest quality, with the use of leather and wood for the equipment. One can notice a new layout of the center console, a large touch screen, a new GPS and seats redesigned to save space without sacrificing comfort. Optionally, you can also take advantage of a heating system in the neck.

With a weight of 70 kg (total: 2 415 kg), the new Bentley Continental GTC offers superior capabilities to the old version. The 6.0-liter W12 engine develops now 567 horses (7 horses) for a couple of 700 Nm (50 Nm). Combined with an automatic transmission 6-speed Quickshift, the convertible achieves the 0-100 km / h in 4.5 seconds with a topspeed of 313 km / h.

We do not yet know the prices of the new Continental GTC. Bentley should reveal them before the official launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 15. However, we already know that the first deliveries of the model will occur at the end of this year.
